Obsidian Notes is a space for culinary, travel and social commentary.  The name ‘Obsidian’ is based on the volcanic rock that contains healing properties and symbolizes transformation.  As it is the intention of this site to open minds and to provoke deeper thought, it seemed like a good fit.

The first by-product of Obsidian Notes and related Essays is the Obsidian System, an holistic restaurant rating guideline for modern eaters and industry professionals.
